Default Behavior
Mnmdd is a kernel device driver. In Windows XP it is starting right at Kernel initialization. If the Mnmdd fails to load or initialize, Windows XP start up proceeds without error messages, but information about the failure is being written into Event Log.
Restore Default Startup Configuration of Mnmdd
1. Run the Command Prompt.
2. Copy the commands below, paste them into the command window and press ENTER:
sc config mnmdd start= system
sc start mnmdd
3. Close the command window and restart the computer.
