Cryptographic Services (CryptSvc) Defaults in Windows 11
Provides three management services: Catalog Database Service, which confirms the signatures of Windows files and allows new programs to be installed; Protected Root Service, which adds and removes Trusted Root Certification Authority certificates from your computer; and Automatic Root Certificate Update Service, which retrieves root certificates from Windows Update and enable scenarios such as SSL. If this service is stopped, these management services will not function properly. If this service is disabled, any services that explicitly depend on it will fail to start.

Default Behavior
Cryptographic Services is a Win32 service. In Windows 11 it starts automatically during the operating system startup. Then the Cryptographic Services logs on as NT Authority\NetworkService and running in its own process of svchost.exe. If Cryptographic Services fails to start, the failure details will be recorded into Event Log. Then Windows 11 should boot up and notify the user about the CryptSvc service startup failure.
Dependencies
Cryptographic Services cannot be started, if the Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service won't start.
If Cryptographic Services doesn't work properly, the Application Identity service can't start.
Restore Default Startup Configuration of Cryptographic Services
Before you begin doing this, make sure that all the services on which Cryptographic Services depends are configured by default and function properly. See the list of dependencies above.1. Run the Command Prompt as an administrator.
2. Copy the commands below, paste them into the command window and press ENTER:
sc config CryptSvc start= auto
sc start CryptSvc
3. Close the command window and restart the computer.
The CryptSvc service is using the cryptsvc.dll file that is located in the C:\Windows\system32 directory. If the file is removed or corrupted, read this article to restore its original version from Windows 11 installation media.
